The 30% Rule
Approximately 30% of all jokes attempted are funny. Therefore, to act in accordance with this property, one must attempt to make every joke that comes to mind.
- As with all Rules of Comedy, the 30% rule is constant for all joke makers.
- Some individuals may seem to make funny jokes more than 30% of the time, but these people are simply not saying some of the dumber things that occur to them.
Courtroom Humor - Always Funny
The Courtoom setting is an infinite well of hillarious situational comedy.
- Some say the Courtroom Rule is in direct violation of the 30% Rule, but this objection has been overruled.
Length Inversely Proportional to Comedy
A funny joke made in fewer words is funnier.
- "That's what she said."
Explain-the-joke Joke
It is proper upon completing an un-funny joke to explain to one's audience why they should be laughing.
